Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or your selected hotel in Entebbe. Drive northwards towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Ugandaβs only home to wild rhinos. Enjoy a guided rhino-tracking experience, where you will have the opportunity to observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment.
Continue towards Murchison Falls National Park, Ugandaβs largest and oldest national park. After entering the park, proceed towards the northern or southern sector depending on the accommodation arrangements. The journey offers opportunities to spot wildlife along the way.
Arrive at Sambiya River Lodge in the evening, check in and relax.

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the savannah plains in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kob, hartebeest and other wildlife. The early morning hours offer excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before proceeding for a 2β3-hour boat cruise on the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The cruise provides spectacular views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and numerous bird species along the riverbanks.
After the boat ride, embark on a hike to the Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically below. Enjoy spectacular viewpoints and experience the power of the falls at close range.
In the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic journey southwards towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, rural communities and beautiful Ugandan countryside.
Enjoy lunch en route before continuing towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Depending on the arrival time, there will be an optional evening game drive in the park, offering an opportunity to spot wildlife as the day cools down.
Proceed to Buffalo Safari Lodge, located near Queen Elizabeth National Park, for check-in and relaxation.

After an early breakfast, depart for Kalinzu Forest for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced forest guides, trek through the lush tropical forest in search of habituated chimpanzees. The forest is also home to various monkey species, birds, butterflies and other fascinating wildlife.
After the trek, return for lunch before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a memorable boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The channel connects Lakes Edward and George and is renowned for its large concentration of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and water birds.
After the cruise, return to Buffalo Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and drive through the spectacular Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive through the sector as you travel southwards, with opportunities to encounter elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and, with luck, the famous lions resting in the fig trees.
Continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, travelling through the scenic highlands and communities of southwestern Uganda.
Arrive at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge in the evening. Check in, relax and prepare for the following day's gorilla trekking adventure. The evening can be spent enjoying the lodge surroundings and the spectacular mountain scenery.

After an early breakfast, prepare for one of the highlights of the safari: mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Transfer to the appropriate gorilla trekking briefing point and receive instructions from the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides before entering the forest.
The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, enjoy a magical encounter observing them in their natural habitat. The experience offers exceptional opportunities for photography and a deeper appreciation of these endangered primates.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later, enjoy a Batwa cultural experience, learning about the traditional forest life, culture, music, dance and heritage of the Batwa people who historically lived in the Bwindi forest.
Return to Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge for your final evening in the Bwindi region.

After breakfast, check out and begin the journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic drive through southwestern Uganda, with opportunities to appreciate the beautiful landscapes and local communities along the way.

Optional alternative: For travelers wishing to reduce the long road journey, a domestic flight option to Entebbe can be arranged, subject to flight schedules and availability.
